How do you all cope? 4 months and I still try to log in every morning

Not really asking for advice, I've done all the steps. Appeal, selfie, data request, the lot. It's just weird how much it gets to me. It's an app. But it was also 12 years of my life, uni, my gran, my pals from when I lived in Melbourne who I only really talk to on there. I wake up and the first thing I do is try to log in. Every single day. Does it get easier?

  1. It does, slowly. I stopped the morning check by deleting the app so there was nothing to tap. Took about a month for the habit to go.
  2. Totally normal to grieve it. You lost a photo album, an address book and a diary at the same time. Be kind to yourself.
  3. For the Melbourne lot, just message them wherever else you can and tell them what happened. Mine were all lovely about it and we actually chat more now that it isn't just liking each others stories.
  4. OP. Thank you, honestly. Messaged two of them tonight. Feels a bit lighter.
