UPDATE: got my FB + IG back after 8 weeks. Honestly not sure what worked, but here's everything I did

I've been lurking here since May, when my Facebook got disabled for 'scams and fraud' the day after I listed a couch on Marketplace. My Instagram went down with it since they're linked. This afternoon both just... worked again.
Everything I did, in order, so you can copy whatever might matter:
- May 16: disabled. One appeal for each through the notice. FB rejected within the hour, IG never answered.
- May 18: wrote down a timeline and screenshotted everything.
- May 20: online complaint to the Illinois AG's consumer protection division. Short and factual.
- Late May: tried the AI support assistant 4 or 5 times. Mostly loops. One time it said a review had been opened? Never heard more about it.
- June: did NOT make new accounts. Did NOT pay anyone (got 10+ scam DMs on my old email).
- July 13: logged in to check like I did every few days, and I was in. No email, no explanation.
So: maybe the AG complaint, maybe the AI 'review', maybe just a queue finally getting to me. I genuinely don't know and I'm suspicious of anyone who says they do.
First thing I did: turned on 2FA and requested a full Download Your Information. Second thing: cried a little.
Don't give up. I really thought it was gone.
