Account Ban Help

Paid for Meta Verified on my husband's account to reach support. Was it worth it? (no)

Short version: $14.99, got a chat agent after about 20 min. She was nice, took my case details, then said disabled account decisions are handled by a different team and are final, and suggested I 'consider creating a new account'. Which from reading here is the WORST thing I could do?? Cancelled the sub. Anyone have a different experience? I keep seeing people say it worked for them.

  1. Bit different for me. Paid on my second account in Feb, agent said she'd escalate it and IG was back about 3 days later. Can't prove that's why though, could easily have been coincidence. Also mine was a 'suspected automated behaviour' thing, not one of the serious categories, I think that makes a big difference.
  2. Do not make a new account. Mine got suspended in like 2 hours for 'associated with another account' and I'm pretty sure it hurt my original appeal.
  3. Same as you OP, told it was final. Felt like paying to be told no, politely.
  4. OP. @marco glad you got it back either way! Sounds like a lottery depending on the reason. Not making a new account, promise
  5. You could ask your card issuer about the charge if it's still within their window, but since you technically got 'support' I'd guess they side with Meta. Probably just cancel and move on.
