From the night of 14 June 2026, an age-verification malfunction wrongly suspended some Facebook, Instagram and Threads accounts (worldwide, according to MODA), and MODA got Meta’s senior management to agree to detect and restore affected accounts itself, so users would not have to apply one by one. According to MODA, more than 200 media outlets, public figures across parties and thousands of ordinary users were affected; some restored accounts were suspended again, and the usual appeal channel stayed open.
