My IG got disabled this afternoon around 3pm Eastern. The day before I'd shared a couple of stories about early voting in my county. Nothing heated, just hours and locations and a photo of the sign outside the library. Notice says spam. Two other people in our town FB group posted the same thing tonight, and both had reshared the same county flyer. Is it political? Is it the automated system seeing the same image posted a few hundred times and deciding it's spam? I honestly don't know and I don't want to jump to conclusions, but the timing is hard to ignore.

My guess is the spam filter before anything else. Same image, lots of accounts posting it the same day, that's exactly what a bot campaign looks like to a machine. Not saying it's ok.

I've seen bans for cat pics and bans for politics, so honestly I think it's mostly the automation being bad at everything. Appeal once, and screenshot those stories if you still have them.

En Texas le pasó lo mismo a mi prima ese mismo día. Solo había compartido el horario de votación anticipada. Ya apeló, a ver qué pasa.

  Ojalá le vaya bien a tu prima. Que guarde capturas del aviso y de la apelación con la fecha, y que no abra otra cuenta mientras espera.

Similar on the 18th, I shared the ballot drop box hours from our library page. Got the selfie check, did it, back about 6 hours later. Never got told why.

OP: mine came back this morning. 4 days, no explanation. Kept the screenshots anyway.
