父の最後の誕生日を含む14年分の写真が消えてしまいました。せめてデータだけでも取り戻せないでしょうか？

Google 翻訳による自動翻訳のタイトル原文のタイトル: Lost 14 years of photos, including my dad's last birthday. Can I at least get my data back?

I don't really care about getting the account back at this point. It was disabled in December, I appealed, it was rejected, the end. Fine. But my dad died in 2023 and a lot of the photos and videos of him from his last few years only exist on my Facebook. His last birthday. Him singing badly at my cousin's wedding. My old phone died and I stupidly never backed it up anywhere else because 'it's on Facebook'. Download Your Information needs you to log in, which I can't. Is there any other way? I'm in Scotland if that matters. Sorry if this is a silly question, I've been crying about it on and off for a month and thought I'd ask people who might actually know.

Not a silly question at all and I'm so sorry about your dad. In the UK you can send a subject access request (SAR) under UK GDPR. It's your personal data and the account being disabled doesn't change that. They're supposed to reply within a month.

Did a SAR last year. Use the data protection / privacy contact route in their privacy policy rather than general support, say clearly that it's a subject access request under UK GDPR, list what you want (photos, videos, messages) and keep a copy of what you sent. If they just point you back to tools that need a login, you can complain to the ICO.

Also worth asking family and friends. People who were at the wedding might have saved the photos/videos you posted or have their own copies. My aunt had loads of the ones I thought I'd lost forever.

Coming back to say thank you. Sent the SAR the day after Priya's comment. They asked for ID first, which held things up a bit, and about five weeks later I got a download link. Most of the photos are there. I've watched the wedding video three times now. Thank you all, genuinely.
