自分のスマホから兄のアカウントに異議申し立てをしたら、今度は「アカウントの整合性」を理由に私のアカウントが削除されてしまった。

Warning for everyone. My little brother's IG got disabled (he's 19, posts gaming clips, no idea why). He doesn't have a working phone right now so I logged into his account on MY phone to do the appeal and selfie for him. Seemed harmless at the time. im kicking myself now. 4 days later mine is disabled. Notice says my account 'may be associated with another account that has gone against our Community Standards'. Mine is 11 years old with zero issues ever. Has anyone actually gotten out of the 'associated' ban? What did you say in the appeal? I'm worried that saying 'I logged into my brother's account' makes it worse.

Same thing happened with me and my wife's account last year. I just told the truth in the appeal: family member, same device, I was trying to help them appeal. Mine came back after about 3 weeks, hers didn't. So honestly it's a coin flip, but lying won't help.

For the future: don't log into anyone else's account from your device. If you get back in, check Accounts Center and remove anything that isn't yours.
