Account Ban Help
英文 (English)

我們變裝之夜的 Instagram 帳號和場地頁面在同一周內都被封鎖了(雪梨)

由 Google 翻譯自動翻譯的標題原文標題: Our drag night's IG and the venue's page both suspended in the same week (Sydney)

I help run a monthly drag night at a small bar in inner Sydney. Last Tuesday the event's Instagram (about 6k followers) got suspended, then on Friday the bar's Facebook page and IG went too. Reasons given were 'adult sexual solicitation' and something about nudity. There is no nudity. There are sequins. We've heard from a couple of other queer venues and nights, here and in Melbourne, that the same thing has happened to them in the last few weeks, so we suspect mass reporting plus an automated system that doesn't look twice. Tickets go through a separate site so sales still technically work, but nobody can find the event now. Questions: - Has any business here had luck with the Small Business Ombudsman (ASBFEO)? Worth the effort? - Should the bar and the event appeal separately, or will that look like spam?

ASBFEO has a specific form for digital platform disputes. A friend's salon used it in March. She said it didn't magically fix anything, but it got the case in front of someone, and the page came back about 3 weeks later. Can't say for sure that was why.

@Tash really helpful, thank you. Lodging it tomorrow.

Appeal separately, each account has its own decision. One clean appeal each. Keep a dated log, the ombudsman form will want it anyway.

Update: the event IG is back (13 days). Bar page still down. Ombudsman form lodged. Fingers crossed for the bar.
