You can't subscribe from a disabled account (obviously) so we bought it on my husband's FB. $14.99. Got through the AI assistant after a lot of back and forth and finally reached a person (I think? she had a name). She said she could see my account was disabled for violating the standards, that the decision was final and she couldn't reverse it. I asked which post. She said she doesn't have that information. I asked if she could escalate. She said she'd pass along my feedback and suggested I just make a new account. Which is literally against their own rules?? Cancelled the subscription the same night. I'm not even mad at her, she clearly has zero power. I'm mad that the only way to talk to anyone costs money and then the person can't do anything anyway.

next time type GDPR and lawyer in the chat, they're legally required to escalate then

@throwaway_ig22 I don't think that's true, at least not in a chat window. I read about someone whose chat was simply ended when they mentioned GDPR. In the EU there are formal routes, but saying the word in a chat doesn't force anything.

Yeah we're in Texas so no GDPR anyway lol. Thanks for the reality check.

@Anonymous right away. I'm not going to fight $15 but I've seen people dispute it with their card company. The time limit depends on your bank so check with them.
