J'ai 34 ans et Instagram pense que j'ai moins de 16 ans, lol. Comment prouver mon âge ?

Ok this is almost funny. Since the under 16 thing started on the 10th I've been fine, then last night I get a screen saying my account is suspended because they think I'm under 16 and I need to confirm my age. I'm 34. I have two kids. My profile pic is literally me holding a baby lol It gives me 2 options, upload ID or do a video selfie. Which is faster? And is it safe to give them my licence? I'd rather not but I need the account for my little cake business, most orders come through DMs. Anyone else in Aus getting this?

Yep my 19yo got it too. She did the video selfie, was back in about a day.

Did the video one. Tips: light in front of you not behind, no glasses, hold the phone still and turn your head slowly when it tells you. My first go failed cos I was doing it in the car lol

Thanks! Doing the selfie this morning then. Will report back

Whatever you do, only do it inside the app. There's already scam texts going round saying verify your age here or your account gets deleted. My mum got one last week.

I read the face age estimate gets it wrong for a fair few younger looking people, so if the selfie fails dont panic, the ID option is still there as a backup.
