저는 34살인데 인스타그램에서는 제가 16살 미만으로 보이네요. 혹시 나이 확인 해보신 분 계신가요?

So the under 16 thing kicked in this week and this morning IG told me it 'looks like you might be under 16' and I need to confirm my age or the account gets deactivated. I'm 34. I have a mortgage. My grid is literally sourdough and my dog. It gave me two options: upload ID or do a video selfie for the age estimate. Has anyone done the selfie one? I'd rather not hand over my licence if I don't have to, but I also don't want to fail the face scan and get locked out completely. (Also is it because I follow a lot of skate accounts? genuinely asking)

Did the video selfie on Thursday, passed in about a minute. Good light, no glasses, look straight at the camera. I'm 29 though so maybe less of a close call lol

Selfie said it couldn't confirm for me (baby face, thanks mum) so I ended up doing my licence anyway. Took 2 days to unlock. Only upload it on the screen inside the app, not from any DM or email link.

My son actually IS 16 and got flagged. Is there any way a parent can sort it? He's furious

  @Anonymous from what I've read 16 and over can verify with ID or the selfie same as adults. If he has a learner's or a passport that's probably quickest. Good luck, a furious 16 year old is no joke

Update: selfie failed ('we couldn't confirm your age'), uploaded licence, back this morning. About 36 hours. No idea what the skate accounts had to do with it but there you go.
